Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial in Lodi, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for night shift to assist pharmacists with unit dose cassettes, stocking, and medication preparation.

Requires High School/GED or equivalent, CA or OR Pharmacy Technician license, and board certification preferred; ten-hour night shifts with competitive benefits.

  • Pharmaceutical Technician Board certification preferred in CA and OR.

Responsibilities

  • Pulls medications from stock and matches with pharmacist orders; handles unit-dose cassettes.
  • Maintains floor stock and rotates stock in nursing and medication areas.
  • Prepares IV medications within applicable laws and regulations.
  • Receive, check, and distribute orders from wholesalers; process returns/back orders.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Performs packaging, manipulative, repetitive, or other nondiscretionary tasks related to the furnishing of drugs, while assisting and under the direct supervision and control of a pharmacist. Fills and delivers the unit dose cassettes from the patients profile to nursing units.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • State Pharmacy Technician license: Required in state of practice (CA or OR)
  • Pharmaceutical Technician Board certification: Preferred in CA and OR
Essential Functions
  • Pulls medications from stock and matches medications with the corresponding label generated by the pharmacist involved with entry of medication orders into the patient’s computer generated profile in an accurate manner.
  • Maintains floor stock (restocking, removal of expired medications, rotate stock) of nursing areas and other medication areas. Prices and stocks in-coming deliveries.
  • Prepares IV medication products within the guidelines of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Checks in orders from wholesaler and suppliers. Distributes appropriately the stock and file paperwork; processes returns and back orders in a timely manner.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
