DeliverCareRx is seeking experienced Pharmacy Technicians for our Mount Prospect, IL pharmacy to assist in processing, dispensing, and shipping prescription medications for hospice patients, with an emphasis on accurate data-entry. Responsibilities include entering prescriptions, supporting pharmacists, managing inventory, and ensuring high-quality customer service by telephone to patients and caregivers.

A valid State Board license and an approved training program are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year on-the-job training preferred.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter prescriptions and verify information for accuracy.
• Provide daily support to pharmacists to ensure smooth operations.
• Resolve customer issues and provide accurate information.
• Process refills and new prescriptions promptly.
• Handle inbound/outbound faxes to physicians.
• Maintain quality by correctly inputting physician orders.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and caregivers by phone.
• Restock and organize workstations for a clean environment.
• Assist with inventory management: cycle counts and receiving.
• Package and ship orders and fill medication orders with accuracy.
• Assist with compounding meds not commercially available.

Currently, DeliverCareRx is searching for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to work in our Mount Prospect, Illinois, pharmacy. This role is responsible for assisting in processing, dispensing, and shipping of prescription medications to hospice patients with a focus on the date entry of the prescriptions.

Key Responsibilities

This position is ideal for those who love working in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail. Key elements of the role can include:

• Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
• Provide daily support to pharmacists
• Resolve customer issues, ensure accurate information is provided
• Process refill and new prescriptions in a timely manner
• Manage outbound/inbound faxes to physicians
• Focus on quality assurance to correctly input physician orders and to prevent medication errors
• Provide high quality customer service to patients and caregivers over the phone
• Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company
• Restock and organize workstations to maintain a clean work environment
• Assist with inventory management functions including, but not limited to cycle counts, inventory, receiving and put away
• Package and ship orders
• Count and fill medication orders with 100% accuracy
• Compound medications that are not commercially available
• Prepare medications with special packaging requirements like bubble packing, pre-filled syringes
• Complete other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Current State Board of Pharmacy Technician license

• Technician certification preferred (PTCB or ExCPT accepted)
