Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy in Gainesville, VA, part of the Guardian family, is seeking a Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I to support accurate prescription filling and packaging for delivery to customers.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Pharmacy Technician certification, and at least 1 year of related experience. Open availability 9:00 AM–7:00 PM, with rotating Saturday shifts and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience; technical knowledge may substitute.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Able to excel in a fast-paced, team environment with multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
• Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into bins accurately.
• Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication not scanning properly.
• Participate in training to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment areas.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication for orders.
• Maintain inventory levels, remove expired meds, keep shelves neat and organized.
• Meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Collaborate with supervisors to keep workflow smooth.
• Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and restock supplies.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and policies for dispensing medications.
• Other essential duties as assigned.

Under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the filling and packaging of prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner for delivery to our customers.

Schedule: Open availability between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM is required.

This position includes rotating Saturday shifts, and overtime may be required based on staffing levels and order volume.

Essential Job Functions (include The Following)

• Prepare prescription orders by verifying information and pulling appropriate prescriptions from inventory.
• Apply labels to medication packaging, scan and assemble into appropriate bins in an accurate and timely manner.
• Alert pharmacist on duty of any medication that is not scanning properly.
• Participate in training and development activities to gain proficiency in other Fulfillment workflow areas.
• Communicate inventory needs to ensure adequate supply of medication available to complete all orders.
• Assist in maintaining inventory at appropriate levels, including removing expired or unused meds, marking used bottles and keeping inventory neat and arranged in-order. May assist in physical inventory.
• Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• Work collaboratively with other supervisors/functional areas to keep work flowing smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and orderly workstation. Put medications away and replenish all stock supplies needed.
• Comply with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to the dispensing of prescription medications.
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed

Education And Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)

Competitive Pay

Starting at $18.00 - $22.00 per hour (USD), depending on experience and qualifications.
