Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy is seeking an Inventory Pharmacy Technician in Gainesville, VA to monitor and maintain inventory and support daily pharmacy operations. You will ensure adequate stock levels, label and organize products, and assist with cycle counts and order processing.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment with a Monday–Friday 9am–6pm schedule.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
  • 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute).
  • Inventory Management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, unpack and check in orders on daily basis.
  • Place and organize inventory on shelves; ensure products are labeled.
  • Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels; restock from overstock daily; remove outdated products for return.
  • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with maintaining pharmacy system by updating NDCs in a timely manner.
  • Participate in quarterly physical inventory.
  • May assist in filling and packaging of prescriptions.
  • May assist with submitting all regular daily orders to ensure availability of products and smooth workflow in the pharmacy.
  • Other essential functions and duties as needed.

The Inventory Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in monitoring and maintaining the pharmacy inventory. Ensures pharmacy has sufficient supply of inventory to meet operational needs while maintaining targeted inventory levels.

Essential Job Functions (include the following):

Education and/or Certifications:
