Job summary

Red Rock Pharmacy in Springville, Utah, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our closed‑door, fast-paced team at the Springville location. This role offers both full‑time and part‑time schedules, with an emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and patient care.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, labeling, insurance claims, inventory management, and collaboration with pharmacists to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• Active Utah Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and prepare prescription orders for pharmacist verification.
• Accurately count, package, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Process refills, maintain patient records, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist customers with prescription pickups, general questions, and directing clinical concerns to pharmacists.
• Process insurance claims, resolve billing issues, and collect payments.
• Manage medication inventory, including shipments, stocking, expiration checks, and supply orders.
• Follow federal, state, and company pharmacy regulations, including controlled substance procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment.
• Operate pharmacy software, dispensing equipment, and related technology.
• Communicate with pharmacists, providers, and patients to support quality care.
• Protect patient confidentiality and perform additional duties as needed.
