Job summary

CompleteRx is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for Moore County Hospital District in Dumas, Texas. The role offers part-time (3 days per week) or full-time (4 days per week) schedules with hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The hospital operates 32 or 24 hours per week depending on the position. Responsibilities include procurement and distribution of drug orders, filling replacement medications on carts, sterile product preparation, and delivering meds to care areas.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
  • Possess current pharmacy technician registration in the State of Texas.
  • Possess current National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Possess I.V. Certification or willing to obtain it within six months of your hire date.
  • Successful completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training course is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures procurement and distribution of drug orders.
  • Identifies and fills replacement medications on emergency crash carts, OR carts, and floor stock accurately.
  • Prepares sterile products (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) accurately.
  • Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately.
  • Rotates stock to ensure use before the expiration date.
  • Picks up orders, requisitions, and medications for return from patient care areas when on delivery rounds.
  • Enters charges and credits for patient medications accurately.
  • Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable drugs.

Work Schedule
  • Full-Time position (32 hours/week): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (4 days per week)
  • Part-Time position (24 hours/week): Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (3 days per week)
  • Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • The pharmacy is closed during evenings and on weekends.
