Job summary

Kroger in West Virginia is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to provide exceptional customer service while assisting pharmacists and handling everyday store operations. You will process transactions, stock shelves, and adhere to HIPAA and health-safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform the functions related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Comply with local, state and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraud
• Follow food safety and health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify management
• Understand and follow the company guidelines on ordering from wholesalers
• Operate and follow guidelines on medication inventory, devices and supplies
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer areas
• Count, measure and prepare specified product using company best practices
• Complete billing procedures adequately to assure best value to the customer and the company
• Answer phone and triage calls and inquiries
• Follow cash handling policies to prevent loss
• Provide a stellar customer experience during reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring professional judgement
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Support health and wellness initiatives
• Put away legend orders including Central Fill deliveries
• Work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues
• Provide support with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
