Job summary

Safeway in Seattle is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by processing prescriptions, entering data, and preparing medications in accordance with federal and state regulations. You will interact with patients, answer questions, and help ensure accurate, efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll maintain records, restock supplies, and assist with daily operations while upholding HIPAA guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on location requirements.
• Board of Pharmacy registration or licensure where applicable.
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems.
• Completion of required pharmacy training programs.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy procedures.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and perform data entry within regulatory limits.
• Prepare medications and assist with prescription workflows.
• Maintain records, restock supplies, and keep workspace compliant and organized.
• Interact with patients and healthcare providers to answer questions and direct inquiries to the pharmacist.
