Job summary

Kroger in McKinney, TX is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support health and wellness initiatives and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves assisting pharmacists, processing prescriptions, and ensuring safe, accurate medication dispensing in a compliant environment.

You will help maintain HIPAA privacy, support clerks and technicians, and participate in CLIA-waived screenings and other non-dispensing services as allowed by state and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18+ and able to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure

Responsibilities

• Support HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Assist pharmacist in responsibilities not requiring pharmacist judgement.
• Provide stellar customer experience through reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps.
• Support coaching and training of clerks/technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches records.
• Assist non-dispensing services via various platforms and applications.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
