Job summary

Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii seeks a Pharmacy Technician to provide efficient customer service, assist the Pharmacist in filling prescriptions, handle payments, and ensure accurate data entry and insurance processing.

You will greet customers, process prescriptions, manage insurance claims, and maintain inventory and shelving in the Pharmacy and OTC areas. The role requires a Hawaii Pharmacy Technician Certificate and a high school diploma.

• Ability to read and understand formulas and measuring quantities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers during transactions by name when possible.
• Process prescriptions, collect information, assist Pharmacist, enter data, pack prescriptions, and file insurance claims.
• Call third party insurance plans when claims can\'t be determined.
• Collect payment and process transactions at the Point-of-Sale system.
• Monitor inventory levels in Pharmacy, OTC, and Automation Device as applicable.
• Receive, unpack, and check in-coming pharmacy drugs and supplies.
• Pre-packages and labels various pharmaceutical preparations.
• Process invoices for merchandise and alert Retails Support Center to price discrepancies.
