Job summary
Adecco Healthcare & LifeSciences in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join a high-volume automated production environment, responsible for filling, packaging, replenishing, and shipping prescriptions while maintaining accuracy and patient privacy. The role requires a California Pharmacy Technician license, and PTCB certification is a plus.
Typical schedule is Monday–Friday with potential shift changes and mandatory overtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- California Pharmacy Technician license required.
- PTCB certification preferred.
- 1+ year of pharmacy, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic math and computer/scanning skills.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Fill prescription vials accurately and efficiently.
- Replenish automated dispensing cells and scan medication inventory.
- Perform inventory counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle specialty and cold-chain prescriptions.
- Pack and ship medications while following HIPAA requirements.
- Identify issues and escalation concerns to management.
