Job summary

Avita Pharmacy in Mission Viejo, CA is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support Pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescribed medications and patient care. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday 8:30am–5:00pm, with great work-life balance and no evenings or weekends.

You will handle labeling, insurance verification, POS transactions, and deliveries. Qualifications include CA license, possibly national certification, and one year of experience; strong communication and data-entry skills

Qualifications

• Active California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
• National certification (PTCB or NHA) a plus.
• At least one year of Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Remove drug(s) from stock and prepare medications.
• Place the product into a container and affix labels.
• Package/repackage as needed and enter prescription information in the computer system.
• Verify insurance benefits and interact with patients and team members professionally.
• Handle POS transactions and reconcile end-of-day activity.
• Coordinate prescription deliveries and respond to calls from patients and providers.
