Job summary

Community Council Of Idaho in Rigby, ID, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, non-exempt role. You will perform data entry from prescriptions, verify patient demographics and insurance, and use the EHR to support the pharmacist in processing prescriptions.

The position requires Idaho licensure, HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. You will manage billing, inventory, and patient interactions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Idaho State Pharmacy Licensure is required.
• Driver's license and proof of auto insurance must be provided.
• Must pass a background check.
• Pharmacy Technician knowledge and training required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of prescriptions from hardcopy, e-scripts, and refills; enter patient demographics, insurance, allergies, and chronic diseases.
• Bill prescriptions and respond to third-party error messages; reprocess billing as needed.
• Prepare prescriptions for filling: retrieve stock, count and label, ensure correct NDC, and perform first-check procedures.
• Process prescriptions at POS and handle pick-up of completed refills when counseling is not required.
• Manage inventory: update medication information, adjust counts, handle stock and outdates per procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and work in compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA.
