Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Wisconsin, a member of the Guardian family, has an exciting opportunity for you to join our rapidly growing team in Madison, Wisconsin. We provide customized medication management solutions to support healthcare organizations serving seniors and individuals with complex care needs.

You will play a key role in ensuring accurate orders, strong customer service, and efficient processing within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (state requirements) is required; National Certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute).
  • Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phone calls from facilities in a timely manner while being professional and courteous.
  • Creating telephone orders for refills, new orders, and/or backup and triaging into the appropriate queues for Order Entry staff to complete.
  • Refill orders in pharmacy computer system if facility calls and request (if not complicated).
  • Follow up with customers as needed (if you told a customer you would return their phone call, call them back in a timely manner).
  • Answering facility questions or referring them to the proper resource for answer.
  • Take Credit Card information over the phone for payments.
  • Work with Medical Records to update resident information, or anything else that is changed. Make telephone orders for medical records and send to appropriate queues for medical records.
  • Take orders from Doctor's offices and triaging to appropriate queues.
  • Check assigned facility faxes daily; any issues, contact Order Entry.
  • Link delivery sheets into ECM.
  • Check original prescriptions sent in tote or by mail, scan into ECM and link. If they haven't been completed leave note for OE to address.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.

Provide excellent customer service to the facilities in taking orders, answering questions, referring information and phone calls to the appropriate departments.
