Job summary

Walgreens in Clinton, Missouri seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacist in daily dispensing and customer service. You will use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions, coach technicians, and assist cashiers as needed.

You will engage customers, maintain accuracy, and help with inventory and clinic-related tasks under supervision. Experience in retail and PTCB certification are preferred, with flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other Pharmacy Department duties per company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians and cashiers if PTCB certified.
• Maintain a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients, greet them, assist with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Support Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist with scheduling, workflow, and inventory management.
• Maintain compliance with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and company policies; report prescription errors promptly.
• Handle cash operations and direct customers to OTC products; assist with telephone inquiries as needed.
• Assist with administration of clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers.
