Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our front-of-house team. In this role, you will be the face of our pharmacy, providing exceptional customer service while managing essential pharmacy operations. This position involves interacting with patients, pet owners, healthcare providers, and the parent-company Pharmacy Innovations Team to ensure the smooth and accurate handling of prescriptions and orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Interaction:
    1. Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
    2. Take prescription orders over the phone and in person, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
    3. Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers picking up or dropping off prescriptions.
  2. Prescription Management:
    1. Organize and track the status of customer prescriptions, ensuring timely processing and updates.
    2. Communicate with provider’s offices to verify and clarify information.
    3. Coordinate with vendors to order necessary medications and supplies.
  3. Order Preparation and Processing:
    1. Pack orders and prescriptions accurately for delivery or customer pickup.
    2. Assist the pharmacist in checking that all prescriptions are complete before customer release.
  4. Administrative Tasks:
    1. Maintain an organized workspace to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
    2. Keep detailed records of communications, orders, and prescription statuses.
    3. Assist with inventory tracking and replenishment as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; Pharmacy Technician certification is preferred but not required.
  2. Prior experience in a pharmacy or customer service role is a plus.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
  7. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
