Job summary

CSI Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to perform a variety of pharmacist-assisted tasks and administrative duties on-site. You will prepare prescriptions under licensed supervision, manage inventory, and enter data into computer systems to support pharmacy operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a pharmacy technician training course or on-the-job training. National certification is preferred, with state licensing as required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares prescriptions for dispensing under pharmacist supervision.
  • Fills stock replacements and orders for drugs and supplies.
  • Maintains inventory and security of drugs and chemicals.
  • Keeps a clean, orderly pharmacy environment and stock areas.
  • Enters data into the computer system for prescriptions and purchases.
  • Removes unneeded drugs from stock for disposal or return.
  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job description

At CSI Pharmacy (CSI), we are on a mission to provide Specialty Pharmacy services to patients with chronic and rare illnesses in need of complex care. Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will perform many pharmacy-related functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and perform administrative functions of the department that requires professional judgment and extensive technical training.

Pay Range

$22/hr - $26/hr (DOE)

Schedule

(On-Site) Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.

  • Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.
  • Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.
  • Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
  • Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
  • Under direction of pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
