Job summary

The Hampden County Sheriff’s Office in Ludlow is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to transport and dispense medications to the inmate population while maintaining strict confidentiality and safety standards.

You will order refills, follow up on discrepancies including missed medications, document in Health Trax, maintain medication carts, and manifest all medications under the Health Services Coordinator and Nursing Supervisors.

Qualifications

Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician Registration or National Certification required.
Experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
Ability to handle controlled substances securely and in compliance with policy.
Willingness to work 3 p.m.–11 p.m with rotating weekends.

Responsibilities

Transport and dispense medications to the inmate population while maintaining confidentiality.
Order refill medications and follow up on discrepancies including missed doses.
Document medication activity in Health Trax and maintain cart accuracy.
Manifest all medications for clients/inmates and coordinate with Health Services staff.
Manage all medications including controlled substances in accordance with safety standards.
