We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in a dual retail and compounding pharmacy setting. This role offers exposure to both traditional retail pharmacy functions and non-sterile/sterile compounding.

Location: Fairfield, OH

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks, contract-to-hire

Schedule

• Second shift: 12:00 PM 8:00 PM or 4:00 PM 12:00 AM (must be flexible)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and prior authorizations
• Fill and dispense prescriptions
• Prepare compounded medications (non-sterile and sterile)
• Prep medications for shipment
  
  

Compounding Focus Includes

• Non-Sterile: Capsules, creams, gels, ointments, lotions, pellets
• Sterile: Eye drops, injections (IVs)
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
• PTCB certification preferred but not required
• 12 years of pharmacy experience in retail, compounding, or mail order preferred
• Willing to train retail pharmacy techs with a strong work ethic and interest in compounding
• Experience with non-sterile compounding should be explicitly noted in the resume
• Familiarity with PioneerRx software is a plus
• Must be available for on-site (in-person) interviews
