Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists in medication preparation and distribution. You will handle labeling, hazardous drugs, and controlled substances, plus assist in procurement, inventory control, and data entry.

Role includes nonsterile compounding per USP standards and potential immunization duties under supervision. Position is part-time (16 hours weekly) with rotating weekends; you may travel between locations and participate in quality improvement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must obtain CPhT or ExCPT certification within 18 months of start date.
• No work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacist with preparation and distribution of medications.
• Accurately select, prepare, and label medications, including hazardous drugs and controlled substances.
• Assist with medication distribution tasks.
• Screens calls and routes using proper etiquette.
• Inventory control and outdate checking.
• Document removal, stocking, and waste of controlled substances.
• Nonsterile compounding per USP standards.
• Sterile IV admixture using aseptic technique where applicable.
• Inspect storage areas for policy adherence.
• Record patient demographics and data entry for records, insurance, labeling and cashiering.
• Develop competence in third‑party billing and immunization under supervision if applicable.
• Operate vehicles for delivering medications and supplies as required.
• Support leaders and train technicians on policies and workflows.
