Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support dispensing and clerical duties under supervision of a Pharmacist at our McHenry, IL site.

The role involves customer service, inventory management, order processing, and compliance with federal and state regulations. Candidates should hold an Illinois Pharmacy Technician license and certification, with 1+ year of experience. Reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Preferred: bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements.
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
