Mercyhealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the community pharmacy team and patients. The role goes beyond dispensing to proactive, patient-centered care with opportunities to obtain immunization certification. Expect day shift with PRN as needed.
Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, handling prior authorizations, managing inventory, and participating in immunization and MTM services in collaboration with pharmacists.
As a Pharmacy Technician in our community pharmacy, you will play a vital role in supporting both the pharmacy team and the patients we serve. Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional prescription dispensing to include patient-centered, proactive care. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including certification to provide immunizations. Shift: Day Shift Schedule: PRN (as needed)
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Graduate of a pharmacy technician program preferred. Experience in a community pharmacy setting is preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Licensure required Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or Certification through NHA required.
Effective communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and technology tools. Willingness to obtain immunization certification.
PAY RANGE: $19.40 - $28.13
