Mercyhealth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support sterile and non-sterile compounding across multiple hospital pharmacies. The role emphasizes strict adherence to USP guidelines for sterile and non-sterile compounding, with responsibilities including IV solution preparation, inventory control, and interdepartmental collaboration.
The technician will train newer staff, ensure accurate charge processing, and assist in annual inventory cycles.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Must be cross trained and able to work proficiently and independently at designated pharmacy locations To obtain and maintain a Pharmacy Technician Level 3 status, the pharmacy technician must demonstrate proficiency in Chemotherapy preparation, knowledge of USP Chapters 795 (Pharmaceutical Compounding - Nonsterile Preparation), 797 (Pharmaceutical Compounding - Sterile Preparation), and 800 (Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs).
Pharmacy Technician Licensure required Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Certification through NHA required.
