The University of Iowa Health Care, Department of Pharmaceutical Care, is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician, certified or trainee to work in our Acute Care, Satellite Pharmacy. This position operates under general pharmacist supervision, coordinating and performing technical activities in dispensing areas. Under the supervision of the technician supervisor, it supports development, coordination, and training within the assigned areas. The role involves providing functional supervision as needed. The position works 8-hour rotating shifts between 6:00 am and 3:30 pm.
The Department of Pharmaceutical Care intends to hire either the Pharmacy Technician, Trainee classification, or Pharmacy Technician, Certified, depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Please specify in your application which position you are applying for, or both.
Ability to perform ratio and proportion calculations, inventory management, and work accurately in healthcare settings, with knowledge of computer programs. Preferred: National Career Readiness Certificate at Silver level.
