Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Virginia to join our pharmacy team. You will verify prescription information, input requests and dispense medications, while delivering compassionate service to our customers.

Applicants must be certified by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy and possess strong math skills, advanced computer proficiency, and inventory-control experience. Wegmans offers comprehensive benefits, competitive pay, and a values-driven culture

Qualifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• Advanced computer skills to support pharmacy operations.
• Proficient in basic math for accurate data entry.
• Experience ordering product and inventory control is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify and input prescription information, process prescription requests and dispense medication
• Build trusted relationships with customers by demonstrating patience, empathy and compassion
• Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for patients
• Maintaining appropriate inventory levels through proper ordering and rotating drugs and other supplies
• Properly handle products and equipment, and maintain accurate logs

Job description

Note: To be considered for this position, you must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and certified with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
