What You'll Do

• Properly handle medications and follow department policies and procedures

Note to applicant Some states require national technician certification and/or state registration to work as a pharmacy technician. You may be hired prior to obtaining these qualifications, and Wegmans will support you throughout the process. Depending on location, certified pharmacy technicians may earn additional compensation.

Certified Pharmacy Technician PTCB - PTCB: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board; Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as light. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive forceful pinching and grasping, bending, and lifting, frequent use of a computer and telephone, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 1 – 10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 35 pounds rarely. Upper extremity repetition is moderate and trunk movement involves moderately low twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).The work environment is indoors.Basic tools and equipment used include cash register, computer, telephone, pill counter, and pharmacy and office supplies.; Experience ordering products and controlling inventory; Pharmacy Technician or Support Center Representative experience
