Job summary

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in accurate preparation and dispensing of medications to patients. You will process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and assist patients with inquiries, upholding safety and regulatory guidelines.

You will contribute to safe medication practices with attention to detail, organization, and a patient-focused demeanor within a leading acute care setting.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 6 months IV compounding experience.
  • Active AZ Pharmacy Technician certification (ECPT/PTCB) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of daily department operations.
  • Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels.
  • Operates automated medication delivery systems and devices.
  • Participates in department quality assurance programs and documentation.
  • Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation with regulatory compliance; may include hazardous/chemotherapy handling.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will expertly process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and meticulously assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

  • Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department.
  • Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
  • Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices.
  • Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation.
  • Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable.
Job Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician: AZ and
