Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support the Central Pharmacy serving eight Veterans Homes across Minnesota. This closed-door facility uses state-of-the-art technology while preserving historic campus elements.

Responsibilities include data entry, processing prescriptions, pre-packing medications, inventory management, and working under a licensed Pharmacist to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Completed a pharmacy technology program or certification (AS or diploma) or equivalent.
• Current national certification as a pharmacy technician.
• Employer-based program with 240 hours in one year (theory and practice).
• Pharmacy tech training from US Armed Forces or Public Health Service.
• Active Minnesota Board of Pharmacy registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists by data entry, processing and filling prescriptions.
• Pre-pack routine medications and generate computer reports.
• Manage inventory and handle phone calls.
• Operate pharmacy automation equipment.
• Order and receive medications and package for delivery.
