Expect rigorous regulatory training and mandatory licensing/certification per state guidelines, with duties potentially restricted until requirements are met. The role emphasizes a safe, inclusive culture and dependable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
• State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
• If the state board of pharmacy does not address minimum age, must be at least 16 years old.
• If the state board of pharmacy does not address minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs; confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and respond appropriately to patient reactions.
• Communication Skills: use verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues; practice active listening.
