Job summary

Delta Health Center Inc. seeks a Pharmacy Technician in Mississippi to assist pharmacists with dispensing, labeling, and patient coordination. You will handle the POS, assist in compounding, manage inventory, and support MTM coordination under a licensed pharmacist.

Requirements include a high school diploma, tech program, and active Mississippi registration; PTCB/ExCPT preferred. Knowledge of PioneerRx/QS-1 and MS Office is expected; physical stamina to lift light loads is needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; accredited tech program preferred.
• Licensure: Active Mississippi Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• Certification: PTCB or ExCPT preferred; may be required soon after hire.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PioneerRx/QS-1 and MS Office.
• Soft Skills: Detail oriented, strong math for dosages, empathetic communication.
• Physical: Stand long periods; lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prescription processing: assist pharmacists with labeling and dispensing per policy.
• Patient coordination: collect health/insurance info and manage POS at checkout.
• Compounding support: assist in sterile/non-sterile prep under supervision.
• Inventory management: order, receive, store; monitor expirations.
• Clinical support: identify MTM-eligible patients and document adherence data.
• Insurance & billing: process claims, resolve third-party rejects, assist PA workflows.
• Administrative compliance: maintain accurate records; keep area clean and safe.
• Interdisciplinary communication: coordinate refills with providers; clarify prescriptions.
• HIPAA: maintain patient confidentiality.
