Job summary

CVS Health in Tennessee is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team. The role focuses on assisting with specialty product inquiries, inventory management, and customer service excellence.

This full-time position supports MS, Oncology, and other specialties, with open hours from 8:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Eligible for CVS Health bonus programs in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration.
• Experience with prior authorizations preferred.
• Customer service experience in healthcare is beneficial.
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT or ExCPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with specialty product inquiries and provide recommendations.
• Maintain specialty retail operations: inventory, restocking, displays.
• Communicate promotions and new product releases to customers.
• Record customer concerns for management review to improve service.
• Monitor daily/weekly/monthly sales metrics and trends.
• Process transactions using the POS system and handle cash.
• Collaborate with team to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Prioritize tasks and manage workloads to meet requests.
• Provide basic repairs or step-by-step troubleshooting for products.
• Pharmacy operates Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm.

CVS health has an exciting new opportunity as a Pharmacy Technician on our CarePlus Specialty Pharmacy team. The team specializes in MS, Oncology, Hepatitis, HIV, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Transplant and Gastrointestinal diseases As part of the team, you will you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information, technologies and channels.

• Assists customers by responding to specialty product inquiries and providing technical advice or recommendations for specialty needs.
• Maintains specialty retail store operations by completing inventory management tasks, restocking shelves, and organizing displays.
• Communicates with customers and shares announcements and/or promotions on the latest product releases, features, and technology trends.
• Compiles customer complaints, inquiries, or concerns for senior managers to help improve future customer service outcomes.
• Monitors key sales metrics related to daily, weekly, and monthly sales revenue, units sold, average transaction value, and conversion rates.
• Operates within the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions, handle cash, and operate payment terminals.
• Drives effective team collaborations with specialty retail associates and technicians to provide customers with a positive experience.
• Determines how best to prioritize tasks and manage workloads to ensure the timely completion of customer requests and specialty retail services.
• Performs basic repairs or provides step-by-step instructions to customers to help resolve issues with specialty retail products and/or services.
• The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacy Technician Registration

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior authorization experience
• 6+ months experience required in a customer service position within in healthcare, social services, or a similar service position.
• CPhT or ExCPT Certification

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Pay Range

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is

$17.00 - $25.65

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
