Job summary

CVS Health, through Omnicare, seeks a Back-End Pharmacy Technician to support packaged medications, compounding, and distribution for skilled nursing facilities. This role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration within a closed-door pharmacy environment.

You will handle ordering, inventory control, narcotics, IV, and ekit processes while coordinating with drivers to ensure timely deliveries and safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent.
• Long-term care or retail/pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Packaging medications and staging for dispensing.
• Reviewing delivery orders and ensuring accuracy.
• Coordinating stock rotations and inventory.
• Receiving product and narcotics handling.
• IV, ekit, compounding processes as applicable.
• Coordinate activities with drivers to ensure timely deliveries.

Day In The Life

As an Back-End Pharmacy Technician, you will work to ensure all medication needs and regulatory standards are met for our patients. You will work in various workstations allowing you to grow your skillsets further. Our back-end team focuses on order fulfillment in our closed-door pharmacy setting, including packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders and bins for accuracy, and coordinating stock rotations.

Required Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in the long-term care industry
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• PTCB National Certification
• Five (5) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience

Education

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $16.00 - $28.84

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
