Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s Liberty Campus Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support medication order processing, compounding, and outpatient triage. The role includes dispensing first doses, performing ADC replenishment, and maintaining inventory for efficient patient care.

The position is part time at Liberty Campus with rotating shifts and weekend work. Starting pay ranges and differential pay reflect experience and duties in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OH Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Must be PTCB certified and OH Board of Pharmacy certified within 18 months of hire.
• ASHP accredited program graduate OR licensed as a Pharmacy Intern OR 6 months pharmacy-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Medication orders - prepares unit dose for cartfill and first doses.
• Compounding non-sterile, non-hazardous meds.
• Phone triage for outpatient pharmacy.
• Medical claims adjudication.
• Inventory management and ADC replenishment.

Shift & Weekend Differential: $2.00/hr shift differential + $1.00/hr weekend differential, added to base pay.

Job Responsibilities

• Medication Orders - Performs unit dose preparation for cartfill and first doses. Non-sterile, non-hazard dose preparation for first fill or cartfill including preparation of oral syringes from liquid dosage forms. Delivery of patient specific doses. Prepare and perform ADC replenishment.
• Compounding - Compounds non-sterile, non-hazardous medications.
• Phone Triage - Performs outpatient pharmacy phone triage.
• Medical Claims - Performs insurance adjudication.
• Inventory Management - Performs medication storage inspections. Interact with pharmacy automated dispensing machines and hospital computer systems as necessary.
