Position Overview

This individual will work as part of a high-functioning team to support inpatient pharmacy operations within a psychiatric hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Filling: Assist in filling medication orders and preparing oral/injectable medications, including hazardous drugs.
  2. Distribution: Distribute medications, retrieve discontinued ones, and maintain service relationships.
  3. Investigational: Handle procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution of investigational drugs.
  4. General: Communicate with hospital personnel, ensure safe storage of medications, maintain a clean work environment, utilize computer skills for patient records, and comply with regulations. Manage inventory, update automated stations, and assist in training.
  5. Controlled Substances: Maintain and audit controlled substance records, ensuring compliance.
  6. Additional Duties: Perform other assigned duties and adhere to system-wide competencies.
