Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward a patient-centric model. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will engage with customers, build patient relationships, and participate in a nationwide training program to achieve PTCB certification.

You will gain hands-on experience with pharmacy systems and clinical services while developing your skills in a supportive, tech-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of retail experience.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in pharmacy practice.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring medications; check for interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Register sales on the cash register and handle cash transactions.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
• Support clinical services as needed and coordinate with healthcare providers.
