Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles toward patient-centric care. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll engage with customers, build relationships, and grow with the team through an accredited apprenticeship program leading to PTCB certification.

You’ll train to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, handle inventory, and deliver outstanding patient service while complying with policy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Provide support with inventory management and cash handling as required.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to policies.
