Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Tehachapi, CA. You will interact with customers, assist pharmacists, and develop patient relationships as you learn the profession through a structured training program.

Earn while you learn with ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship. Training covers entering patient data, processing prescriptions, and maintaining accuracy under supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Preferred: up to six months of retail experience.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience and PTCB certification.
• Prefer good math skills for accurately counting and measuring medications.
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing, entering patient data and processing prescriptions.
• Maintain accurate records, handle cash, and guide customers to OTC products.
• Support inventory management and coordination of clinical services as required.
