Job summary

Walgreens is transforming pharmacy technician roles to be more patient-centric. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you’ll interact with customers, learn on the job, and build relationships while progressing toward PTCB certification.

The program offers hands-on training, rigorous supervision, and opportunities to advance as you gain skills in prescriptions, pharmacy systems, and customer service within Walgreens stores.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification welcomed and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and assist with cashiers.
• Deliver a high-quality customer experience and resolve inquiries.
• Support inventory management and maintain orderly pharmacy areas.
• Assist with clinical services and coordination with healthcare providers as needed.
