Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Pharmacy Technician Apprentice with a patient-centered approach. You will assist pharmacists, handle prescriptions, and engage customers while learning new skills through the Walgreens training program.

The role emphasizes using pharmacy systems, providing excellent customer service, and developing relationships with patients as part of daily operations. Training leading to PTCB certification is offered and encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer PTCB certification.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision with dispensing and patient information.
• Process prescriptions and enter patient data in pharmacy systems.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and operate the cash register as needed.
• Deliver customer service and build relationships with patients.
• Support inventory management and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
