Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our patient-centered team. You’ll interact with customers, assist pharmacists, and learn through our earn-while-you-learn training program recognized by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

The role offers hands-on experience with pharmacy systems, opportunities to become PTCB certified, and paths to advance as a certified technician while delivering high-quality patient care in a retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Provide a friendly, distinctive customer experience and answer questions.
• Support inventory management and assist with scheduling and workflow.
• Handle cash transactions and guide customers to OTC products.
