Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy tech roles to be patient-centric, offering hands-on training and a clear path to certification while you work. You’ll engage customers, support pharmacists, and use pharmacy systems to ensure safe, accurate dispensing and strong patient relationships.

The training program includes an ASHP/DOL-recognized apprenticeship, with opportunities to progress to certified technician as you gain experience and skills.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under pharmacist supervision, assist in dispensing prescriptions and entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems.
• Fill prescriptions by counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, unpacking, and stock control.
• Provide courteous customer service, resolve issues, and promote Walgreens service traits.
• Adhere to Pharmacy Code of Conduct and reporting of prescription errors.
