Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and related duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medications and verify accuracy and interactions.
• Assist with scheduling and maintaining workflow in the pharmacy.
• Register sales on the cash register and handle cash as required.
• Handle phone calls not requiring pharmacist attention and assist physicians as needed.
