Job summary

Walgreens in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to interact with customers and build patient relationships while training through an earn-while-you-learn program.

You will work under supervision to assist pharmacists, handle prescriptions, and use pharmacy systems. The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and regulatory compliance as you progress toward certification.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.
• Good math skills for accurate prescription counting and measuring.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with store systems.
• Knowledge of store inventory control is preferred.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and related duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Provide a distinctive and helpful customer experience.
• Support inventory, cash handling, and store operations as needed.
• Help with basic clinical services and coordination with providers as required.
