Walgreens is actively seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the heart of our customer interactions, building strong patient relationships in a patient-centered environment. Our apprenticeship program offers an ASHP and Department of Labor recognized pathway to PTCB certification and a portable credential, helping you advance in health care.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Requires willingness to work flexible schedule.
Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
Prefer good computer skills.
Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and enter patient and drug information.
Assist in scheduling and maintaining workflow, and handling cash at the register.
Maintain inventory, ensure compliance with policies, and support pharmacy operations.
Deliver a distinctive customer experience and provide service to patients and customers.
