Job summary

Walgreens is transforming the pharmacy technician role toward a patient-centric approach. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will engage customers, support pharmacists, and learn through a recognized ASHP and Department of Labor apprenticeship program that leads toward PTCB certification.

You will gain hands-on experience with pharmacy systems, inventory, and patient interactions, while developing strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• Good math and computer skills are beneficial for accurate prescription filling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and related duties in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach or supervise technicians if certified.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience and engage with patients to build relationships.
