Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles into patient-centered positions. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will be at the front line, building patient relationships and using the latest technology to support careers in pharmacy.

The program offers an earn-while-you-learn pathway with PTCB certification and training. You will learn to work under supervision, assist with prescriptions, and coordinate with the pharmacy team to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Six months of retail experience preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Strong math skills for filling prescriptions.
Good computer skills.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and related duties.
Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Maintain a customer-focused, delightful service experience.
Handle cash and operate the cash register.
Support inventory management and stocking activities.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
