Job summary

Walgreens is transforming its pharmacy technician roles into patient-centered positions. The Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice will interact with customers, develop patient relationships, and grow with the latest technology.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Six months of experience in retail environment preferred.
Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
Good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
Good computer skills desired.
Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing and other duties.
Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
Assist with and coach technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers as needed.
Deliver a friendly, distinctive customer experience and build patient relationships.
Help maintain pharmacy inventory and perform clerical duties as assigned.
