Job summary

As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you’ll engage with customers and build patient relationships while benefiting from an industry-leading training program acknowledged by ASHP and the Department of Labor.

You will work under supervision to assist pharmacists, operate pharmacy systems, and contribute to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills to accurately fill prescriptions (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and support Pharmacy Department duties.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions; coach others if PTCB certified.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
