Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join our Key West team. The role emphasizes patient-centric care, interaction with customers, and training through Walgreens’ ASHP and Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship program.

You will learn to work with pharmacy systems, assist pharmacists, and participate in the pharmacy’s daily operations, all while building skills to become a certified pharmacy technician.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience to patients and customers.
• Support inventory management and maintain accuracy in dispensing and records.
• Handle cash register transactions and assist with general clerical duties.
