Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to engage customers, learn on-the-job, and support pharmacists in providing patient-centered care. The program offers training to become a PTCB-certified technician while earning as you learn.

Responsibilities include assisting pharmacists, processing prescriptions, and maintaining inventory under supervision. Prior retail experience and English fluency are valued; evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior Walgreens experience is a plus.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in compounding and dispensing activities and in pharmacy operations.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems and verify medication accuracy.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain inventory, stocking, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Contribute to a positive, service-oriented patient experience.
